Nick Sunderland

PARALEGAL

Nick is an experienced paralegal who specializes in complex Trust and Probate Administration and preparation of Estate Tax Returns (“IRS Form 706s”) and Gift Tax Returns (“IRS Form 709s”). A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Nick is passionate about guiding our clientele through difficult situations and approaches his job with common sense and efficiency. His professional background in Trusts and Estates began as a financial manager at a Washington Chartered Trust Company in Seattle, where he acted as a boots-on-the-ground fiduciary in fulfilling Trustee, Personal Representative, Guardian, and Attorney-in-Fact engagements on behalf of his employer. Nick’s practical experience and easily accessible nature are invaluable to our clientele.

Nick is enrolled in the Seattle University School of Law’s Flex JD program, with an expected graduation date of December 2027. He is also a member of the Seattle University Law Review, the flagship scholarly journal at SU Law. Upon successful passage of the bar exam in 2028, Nick intends to practice as a Trusts and Estates attorney in Washington state.

Prior to joining the legal field, Nick – a proud Wisconsin native – worked seven years for daily newspapers in the Midwest and East Coast as a sports journalist. Outside of work, you can often find Nick on a tennis court, where he excels competitively. His 30 championships (and counting) rank No. 1 nationally in the Tennis League Network, which has recreational leagues in 50 cities across the country. Nick also competes regularly in the Puget Sound Basketball League and enjoys boxing; in recent years, he has fought in amateur bouts in Seattle.
